Mercurial Vapor XII Elite FG – Black/Black Review

Nike Mercurial Vapor XII Elite FG – Black/Black
With the Nike Mercurial, they are fairly narrow, but incredibly comfortable. A bit of a tight squeeze, but I prefer my boots tighter. The sock like entry point for your foot into the boot keeps your foot in place without a grip sock, maintaining comfort and traction when twisting and turning. The studs are fairly short on these ones, so if, like me, you play on grass pitches in England which can be soft throughout the Autumn/Winter, you may want to opt for the SG Anti Clog version, when the ground was firm or I am playing on 4G Pitches these were ideal. Furthermore these boots are so so light, ideal for strikers and wingers. Overall I would give these boots an 8/10, had the front studs been slightly longer giving me better traction on wet/soft pitches, they’d receive a full 10.

Main Points/Overview
1. Narrower boots than usual, a point to note if you have broad feet.
2. FG studs on front plate fairly short – perfect for 4G and dry pitches, will slip and slide on even the slightest of wet/boggy pitches.
3.Incredibly light, sock like entry point to boot keeps foot firmly in boot even without grip socks.

Sizing guide: I wear a UK 8 in trainers, and I like my boots to be a bit snug with room to stretch them, in these boots I wear a UK 8.5
